Notice:  Since the number of candidates was less than or equal to the number of offices to be filled, all candidates were appointed in lieu of election by the Board of Supervisors.  No election was conducted.  Call the Elections Office if you have any questions.

  • The Voter Information Guide is a booklet published by the San Bernardino County Elections Office that includes information about voting, candidates, and measures.
  • The comprehensive Voter Information Guide [available soon] contains information for all offices up for election throughout San Bernardino County.
  • The precinct specific Voter Information Guide contains information for offices up for election and measures on the ballot in each precinct.  You can view precinct specific Voter Information Guides by using the Voter Information Guide Look-up tool [available soon].
  • The accessible format Voter Information Guide [available soon] provides customized election information for voters who use screen-reader software.

Candidate Filing:

Candidate filing begins on May 8, 2017 and ends on June 2, 2017.  Visit our Elected Officials and Candidates page for complete information and instructions.

Candidate Statements:

  • View the Estimated Candidate Statement Costs [pdf].
    • Candidates are required to pay the estimated costs of printing their candidate statement in the Voter Information Guide at the time of filing.
  • To submit a candidate statement, please fill out the Candidate Statement Form [no longer available].

Voter Registration

If you want to vote by mail, your voter registration application must be postmarked no later than August 14, 2017 for the August 29, 2017 Consolidated Mail Ballot Election.

If you miss the voter registration deadline, you can still register and vote in person at the Elections Office on or before Election Day.

Voting Options

  • Vote early at the Elections Office beginning July 31, 2017.
